A caring therapeutic touch will be discussed, demonstrated and performed to support the physiological, structural and emotional well-being of mother to be. The therapist will review the common changes with pregnancy and the female reproductive system. We will explore protocols to alleviate the reduction of joint pain due to extra weight and postural imbalance, improved breathing and relaxation, relief from uncomfortable digestive issues and enhance energy levels. We study massage techniques and gentle range of motion to help mothers experience their changing body in more positive nurturing ways.

A save your hands practical course combines the nature of lite to deep tissue work using elbows, forearms, and hands. Demonstration by the instructor and a practical exchange among the participants will be integrated. Open communication during this session is crucial to make sure you do not get too uncomfortable. This course is designed to focus on the use of using one’s body mechanics and increase self-awareness to leverage the pressure. Participants will learn thorough methodical movements at the deeper tissue structures of the muscle and fascia, called connective tissue. The participants will learn to increase their body mechanics and understand the benefits of lite to deep thorough pressure by saving their hands. Participants will leave confident in the use of their elbows, forearms, and targeted range of motion.

Class Policies & Procedures

Dina M. Giugliano, owner of Kashmir Hands Inc., is approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork (NCBTMB) as a continuing education Approved Provider. (Provider #1000061) Ms. Dina follows all federal guidelines regarding the American Disabilities Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, as amended, including making the appropriate accommodations for the teaching, learning, and examination process. All participants must be licensed or certified therapists, except where indicated.
Payment in full is due to hold your space in any workshop. Class size is limited; all workshops are filled on a first-come, first-served basis. To receive course credit, participants must attend the entire workshop, fully participate, and satisfactorily complete all course requirements.
Cancellations/Transfers/Refunds: Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable if cancelled within 14 days of workshop date. A $75 administrative fee applies to refunds or cancellations made more than 14 days prior to the start of the scheduled workshop. A $25 transfer fee applies to transfers made more than 14 days prior to the start of the scheduled workshop.
In the rare event of date change or course cancellation you will be notified by noon the Tuesday before your scheduled CE. In this case, full refund or transfer of credit without admin fee will be issued
